House: Can’t they keep both Thirteen (Olivia Wilde) and Masters (Amber Tamblyn)? She really is fitting in nicely with the group. – Dee
Agreed, Dee. And Wilde is right there with us. “I only got to spend one episode with her, and I love that woman. She is SO talented,” Wilde tells EW. “I think that there’s definitely a future for us. We were making up all sorts of spin-offs [laughs] because we call her Scrambler, so we’re like, Scrambler and Thirteen, Scorteen and Scrambler, Skirteen. We’re coming up with all these ideas!” Joking aside, Wilde did share a bit of good news: The door is left open for a return after Masters’ last episode. “I’m in her goodbye episode — but that’s really her episode. She does fantastic work in it,” she says. “There’s always a chance for her to come back.

Is Wilson leaving House?!?! I’d die. His friendship with House MAKES the show. This can’t happen. Please tell me this isn’t true. — Morgan
Hold your hysterics there, Mo. As reported by TVLine, Sean Robert Leonard’s contract negotiations are still ongoing, so he is officially not signed up for next season. But that’s pretty standard. (See the Desperate Housewives question below.) It’s part of the business, so we shouldn’t necessarily read much into it at this point. The good news? I hear Wilson isn’t in any immediate danger come finale time. No major cliffhanger for him, either. Breathe easy, my friend. (Meanwhile, also try to forget how easily the show off’d Kutner when Kal Penn decided to leave the show. Gulp.) Sorry, I had to address it, but I stand by my not-worried stance.

Your question is answered in Thirteen’s big return episode next Monday. Olivia Wilde teases, “He definitely does her a favor, and that proves to her how valuable she is on the team.”

We know that House knows Thirteen’s secret by the end of next week. Does everyone else find out, too? — Claire
Of course they do. But it’s their reactions you should be asking me about. “She ends up really needing the help of one of them [but] in order to get that help, she has to tell him what happened,” Wilde says. “I think her relationships with them have changed.”

Question: Any news about Jennifer Morrison coming back to House? —Tanya
Ausiello: It’s definitely not happening this season. “I have not been contacted by anyone over there,” Morrison tells TVLine. “I would do whatever they wanted me to do… Cameron is a fabulous character and it changed my life to play her… But it’s not in my control. People seem to think it is. I feel bad because fans really want answers and I don’t have them. I wish I did. My guess would be that I will probably never be on [House] again.” Morrison is hardly hurting for work these days. In addition to her recurring gig on How I Met Your Mother, she has a starring role in ABC’s fairytale-themed pilot Once Upon a Time. “Honestly, it’s not a sore subject for me,” she says of her House departure. “My life has gone on. I’m thrilled I was available to be [in HIMYM]. I’m thrilled I was available to do the new pilot. These are really exciting new things.”

Question: I’m really looking forward to next week’s House. Anything else you can share about House and Thirteen’s little road trip? —Max
Ausiello: The episode opens with Dr. Crankydoodle awaiting Thirteen’s release from a New Jersey correctional facility. But that’s old news. Here’s some new news: The hour ends with her waiting for him when he gets out of jail. And whereas he greets her with a freshly made martini, she… is less fancy.

Spoiler or simply a fan vid? "HOUSE 7x01 - Thunder Roadtrip (unaired)"

About two weeks ago searching my Twitter timeline I met a tweet with a link to a YouTube video titled "HOUSE 7x01 - Thunder Roadtrip (unaired)". The song is "Thunder Road" by Bruce Springsteen.

I haven't read the "Thunder Roadtrip" script but all the video is perfectly edited with old scenes and images to show the content people is talking about since summer of the past year. I mean, the moto, the beach, etc..
But one scene shows House and Cuddy in a sort of piano bar where Bruce Springsteen is singing "Thunder Road". (The scene starts at min. 3:35).
I don't remember I've ever seen Huddy in a piano bar. So the question: is maybe this scene new and real? And so, will we see Bruce Springsteen singing in a future episode?
Sure, this last one scene can be taken from an existing live exibition, but I remember one day Sara Hess tweeted about a very special guest.
Also Bruce Springsteen was named in Known Unknowns, epi which was directed by Greg Yaitanes (and written by Doris Egan as TR and KW).

‘HOUSE’: MUSICAL NUMBERS? WESTERNS? YUP.

Picture this: House and Cuddy in western gear a la Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Robert Sean Leonard’s Wilson hanging out in a sitcom-style version of House’s apartment as a laugh track pipes in. A musical number choreographed by So You Think You Can Dance‘s Mia Michaels. A horror movie (with zombies!). And a classic black-and-white movie. Sound like the craziest episode of House ever? Executive producer Greg Yaitanes explains.

“Within those dreams, the story of what [the team is] going through is being told in [the dreams] throughout the episode,” he says. “It just allowed us to [tell the] message of this great story between them and let the fans participate in a new way.” Very new, indeed. But definitely worth watching if you’re a Cuddy fan. In fact, it’s required watching if you’re a Cuddy fan. “If you’re enjoying their storyline, this is going to be a very important episode,” Yaitanes teases of the likely “polarizing” episode. “I think people will love or hate us for it, but I just think there’s some incredible work there that was done. Liz [Friedman] wrote an amazing script, and I think everybody really shines in a big way,” he says.

I begged him for more, but all I got was: “The musical is… I don’t think anyone will have seen something like that on television before.”

Ausiello: You should check out this new product that just hit the market. It’s called a DVR. All the cool kids are using it. In any event, exec producer Katie Jacobs teases that Taub’s marriage will be tested in “a completely unexpected way” later this season. Might this be connected to a certain spoiler that ran in AA last week? Maybe. Maybe not.

Ausiello: Yes, I’ve seen it—it’s the reason this column arrived a little late. If you’re a Huddy fan, you’re going to swoon yourself silly. The Sept. 20 opener features the star-crossed lovers cuddling, bathing, massaging, champagne-toasting, and—of course—kissing. I think I counted a dozen smooches in the first 15 minutes alone. The episode will also answer the burning question “What does Hugh Laurie look like wearing nothing but a laptop?”

Ausiello: After watching the premiere, I would have to say HELL YES, YOU SHOULD.

Question: I know she's on CSI: NY now, but is there any chance Sela Ward will be returning to House this season? —Josh
Ausiello: No. That particular 'ship has sailed. This season's all about the Cuddster. "House and Cuddy alone in a room have had chemistry—that's never been in doubt," says exec producer Katie Jacobs. "Can it work in the real world? Can it work with them being coworkers? She's his boss, she has a kid, he's always breaking the rules... Can it work? I don't know, but that's the question [this season]. And she's not necessarily trying to change him. It's not like she goes, 'Oh well, I'll give it a try with House and hopefully he'll grow up.' He's never going to grow up. And she sort of thinks, 'I love him enough, maybe it could work. It's complicated.'"

Also, confirmation that JMo's name is being removed from the opening titles:

Question: I'm kind of obsessed with your story about House's new opening title sequence. How exactly will it be different? —Jennifer
Ausiello: Let's ask Katie Jacobs, who's working on the revamp as we speak. "It's not all new," she says, "but I'm making a few changes because Jennifer [Morrison] is no longer in the main titles. And I am changing a little bit more than that, but I'm not changing so much that you're losing what you love about the opening titles." Jacobs also confirmed that a "few new names"—presumably Olivia Wilde and Peter Jacobson—have been added to the opening as well.

Hard as it is to imagine, next season on House, Doc Crankypants may be — gasp! — happy. At least happy-ish. In fact, in the premiere, we’ll see him smiling, laughing and canoodling on the beach with at-long-last lady love Cuddy. Clearly, this can only mean one thing: The relationship is doomed, right? “I don’t think [so], necessarily,” Hugh Laurie tells me. “But let’s face it, neither of these characters has a clean license.

“‘Buckle up,’” he adds, “would be my advice.”

Lisa Edelstein, who plays House’s significant other, shares her co-star’s trepidation. “I was terrified of saying ‘I love you,’” she admits. “But I think that in that final scene of season six, Cuddy makes that clear that she’s ready to go for it.”

Laurie is ready, too, weird as it may feel to him. “Even the appearance of happiness [in House] has taken some getting used to,” he says. “I had a week of happiness training before the season started up, and I’m whistling more than usual.”

Is his small-screen counterpart whistling more than he did, say, when he was with Sela Ward’s Stacy? “I’ve always thought of House as a romantic, and I don’t think romantics are much given to comparing,” Laurie demurs. “But speaking as a friend of House, he seems to be attracted to strong women. He likes to get as good as he gives — and I mean that in as many senses as are suitable for a family readership.”
