Possible BIG spoiler about House Season 8

Yesterday in one of the Italian internet portals, Tiscali (Company I work for, just a coincidence, lol), appeared a news that if it's real is a BIG spoiler.

Remember Ausiello blind item about "fast-forward"?

In this article is said when House will return next fall we will be 18 month onwards and will be explained the why of many mysterious facts of this past series in a mix of reality and hallucinations.

We'll also discover why our loved Lisa Edelstein will disappear from the show.

Any thoughts guys?

I remember Shore said something like "every thing will be different in season 8".

This theory is fascinating. Since all this past series was unusual season 8 could be really stunning.

I'd really like to read you comments! Post it here :D

SPOILER: Is Someone Getting Cut Off?

House First Look: Are They Killing Off [Spoiler]?

Good thing Fox renewed House when it did, or else these photos of Dr. Crankypants knocking at death’s door would take on a whole new level of urgency. Of course, that’s not to say House’s latest health emergency isn’t cause for alarm.
As revealed in the following clip from Monday’s penultimate season 7 episode, the experimental medicine Hugh Laurie’s drug-addled alter ego was pumping into his body was actually poison.

D’oh!

That’s one of two major surprises the episode delivers. The other involves a baby bombshell I first teased in this week’s Ask Ausiello. Basically, someone’s gonna be a first-time daddy — and that someone is unmasked in the second clip below.

Question: Got anything on this season’s final two episodes of House? —Chris
Ausiello: Do I ever. Sources confirm to me exclusively that someone’s going to be a first-time daddy! And in possibly related news…

Question: Where is House‘s new bride Domenika? Will she turn up in the season finale? —Renata

House Renewed for Season 8

It's Official: Fox Renews House For Season 8

The doctors are in… some of them at least.

After lengthy talks, Fox has closed a deal with producer Universal to bring House back for an eighth and likely final season.

“Over the past seven seasons, House has redefined the medical drama and has given us one of television’s most compelling and iconic characters,” said Fox president Kevin Reilly in a statement. “From the producers to the incredible writers to the unbelievably talented cast and crew, the House team is fearless in its creativity and I can’t wait to see what they have in store next year.”

Curiously, Fox’s press release doesn’t mention which castmembers will be returning for season 8. As Deadline first reported Monday night, Robert Sean Leonard and Omar Epps have inked new deals, but it’s unclear where things stand with Lisa Edelstein and Jesse Spencer. Hugh Laurie, Olivia Wilde and Peter Jacobson were already under contract for an eighth season.

TVLine’s Renewal Scorecard has been updated to reflect the news.

Thoughts? Relieved the show will be back but anxious about the uncertain fates of Edelstein and Spencer? Hit the comments!

Amber Tamblyn Interview: House Exit

Amber Tamblyn on Bittersweet House Departure: 'I Didn't Want To Go'

By Michael Ausiello

In the end, Martha Masters just couldn’t play House. Yes, on Monday, Amber Tamblyn’s season-long run on Fox’s medical drama came to an end when her by-the-books character spent a painful day playing by Dr. Crankypants’ rules – in other words, none. While the PYMD’s fate was left up in the air, Tamblyn’s next step is pretty much set in stone: The Joan of Arcadia alum is developing a new Fox series with House exec Katie Jacobs and The Wire co-creator Ed Burns that will find her playing a public school teacher. Just hours before her swan song aired, the actress explained why she opted to not permanently call House home and revealed what Hugh Laurie did that brought her to tears. (No, the nice kind of tears… You’ll see.)

TVLINE | Do you think House drove Masters out of the medical profession or just Princeton-Plainsboro?
That’s a good question. It’s left open… I think she is going to still practice [medicine]. At the end of the day, she just couldn’t do what House does.

TVLINE | House creator David Shore has made no secret of the fact that he would’ve loved to have kept you around full-time. At what point did you decide you were going to leave to pursue this new series with Ed Burns and Katie Jacobs?
I’ll be perfectly honest. The three of us – me, Katie Jacobs and David Shore – were talking about doing something together. That was the original situation. And it just seemed kind of impossible for David to be working on more than one incredible show [at the same time]… I didn’t really want to separate myself from either one of them. I think they’re both so fantastic. But realistically, we knew it was not going to be able to work out that way, so Katie and I got his blessing and went and did our own thing… Thirteen episodes was always what I signed up to do. That was the plan all along. I never had any intention of staying longer than 13 episodes. That got really emotionally difficult toward the end because I didn’t want to go. But Katie and I fell in love with this other project and I knew the time was right.

Exclusive: Is Robert Sean Leonard Leaving House?

TVLINE | Was there ever a moment when you considered sticking around?

I don’t think I could’ve. I like to jump around a lot. I feel this way a lot about projects. I felt this way about Joan of Arcadia, because people were really upset about that ending and they always ask and I always say, “I think it’s better to have two really fantastic seasons of television than… Who knows what would’ve happened after that?” I don’t like to get comfortable where I am. I think it’s dangerous to be too comfortable in what you’re doing.

TVLINE | Which of your House castmates will you still be friends with five years from now?
All of them. I text all of them almost every day. Peter Jacobson does not save my number, so I’ll text him something and he’ll be like, “Who is this?!” And I’m like, “Your worst nightmare, jerk.” Even Olivia [Wilde]. I only worked with her for a week but she’s so awesome. We’ve been texting back and forth. We’re going to try to do dinner next time she’s in town. I really had a Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz moment. I felt like I was coming out of some amazing dream that I’m sad is ending. But I’m also excited because I get to take one of those people from the dream and make a new dream.

House Renewal Drama: Where Do Things Stand?

TVLINE | Did you get a nice send-off?
Hugh Laurie asked me if I wanted to go get drinks after work one day, and I said, “I’d love to.” So I put on my best red lipstick and went to meet him for drinks and he had rented out a restaurant and thrown me a big surprise going-away party. Everybody was there. It was like this whole sit-down dinner. And Hugh gave this really sweet speech about us working together. I was in tears. It blew my mind. And this was on a work night too. I think that’s a pretty rad send-off… No one’s ever done that for me. I called my boyfriend afterwards crying because I was really touched by it, especially since I’m not a main cast member.

Question: How does House plan to write Amber Tamblyn off the show? —Paul
Ausiello:
Sounds like Masters is gonna crack! “She’s going to potentially break one of her own rules in a very interesting way,” aspiring TV teach Amber Tamblyn says of her final episode. “And it’s going to break Masters a bit, which will be really interesting to see because she’s kind of been unbreakable, though she’s always given the hint of being vulnerable. She could be blown over any second — and that’s what you’re about to see.”

Cine Telu Revue Cover + Article - House and Cuddy

Inside TV: House Spoilers - April 8, 2011

House: Can’t they keep both Thirteen (Olivia Wilde) and Masters (Amber Tamblyn)? She really is fitting in nicely with the group. – Dee
Agreed, Dee. And Wilde is right there with us. “I only got to spend one episode with her, and I love that woman. She is SO talented,” Wilde tells EW. “I think that there’s definitely a future for us. We were making up all sorts of spin-offs [laughs] because we call her Scrambler, so we’re like, Scrambler and Thirteen, Scorteen and Scrambler, Skirteen. We’re coming up with all these ideas!” Joking aside, Wilde did share a bit of good news: The door is left open for a return after Masters’ last episode. “I’m in her goodbye episode — but that’s really her episode. She does fantastic work in it,” she says. “There’s always a chance for her to come back.

Is Wilson leaving House?!?! I’d die. His friendship with House MAKES the show. This can’t happen. Please tell me this isn’t true. — Morgan

Hold your hysterics there, Mo. As reported by TVLine, Sean Robert Leonard’s contract negotiations are still ongoing, so he is officially not signed up for next season. But that’s pretty standard. (See the Desperate Housewives question below.) It’s part of the business, so we shouldn’t necessarily read much into it at this point. The good news? I hear Wilson isn’t in any immediate danger come finale time. No major cliffhanger for him, either. Breathe easy, my friend. (Meanwhile, also try to forget how easily the show off’d Kutner when Kal Penn decided to leave the show. Gulp.) Sorry, I had to address it, but I stand by my not-worried stance.

TV Guide - Article - Thirteen's Back!

TV Insider: News - April 5, 2011

On House, how does Thirteen still have a job if she’s been in prison? She can’t still be a doctor, right? — Mary
Your question is answered in Thirteen’s big return episode next Monday. Olivia Wilde teases, “He definitely does her a favor, and that proves to her how valuable she is on the team.”

We know that House knows Thirteen’s secret by the end of next week. Does everyone else find out, too? — Claire
Of course they do. But it’s their reactions you should be asking me about. “She ends up really needing the help of one of them [but] in order to get that help, she has to tell him what happened,” Wilde says. “I think her relationships with them have changed.”

Ask Ausiello: Spoilers on Smallville, Glee, Castle, Bones, How I Met Your Mother and More!
http://www.tvline.com/2011/04/ask-ausiello-spoilers-smallville-glee-castle/

Question: Any news about Jennifer Morrison coming back to House? —Tanya
Ausiello:
It’s definitely not happening this season. “I have not been contacted by anyone over there,” Morrison tells TVLine. “I would do whatever they wanted me to do… Cameron is a fabulous character and it changed my life to play her… But it’s not in my control. People seem to think it is. I feel bad because fans really want answers and I don’t have them. I wish I did. My guess would be that I will probably never be on [House] again.” Morrison is hardly hurting for work these days. In addition to her recurring gig on How I Met Your Mother, she has a starring role in ABC’s fairytale-themed pilot Once Upon a Time. “Honestly, it’s not a sore subject for me,” she says of her House departure. “My life has gone on. I’m thrilled I was available to be [in HIMYM]. I’m thrilled I was available to do the new pilot. These are really exciting new things.”

Question: I’m really looking forward to next week’s House. Anything else you can share about House and Thirteen’s little road trip? —Max
Ausiello:
The episode opens with Dr. Crankydoodle awaiting Thirteen’s release from a New Jersey correctional facility. But that’s old news. Here’s some new news: The hour ends with her waiting for him when he gets out of jail. And whereas he greets her with a freshly made martini, she… is less fancy.

Hugh Laurie - Guitar Aficionado Magazine

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - April 5, 2011)
http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/House-Star-Hugh-Laurie-on-the-Cover-of-Guitar-Aficionado-Magazine-LSE-futr-1422961.htm

Hugh Laurie, better known to American audiences as the titular character on House M.D., is the cover star of Guitar Aficionado's May/June 2011 issue. Fans of Fox's long-running medical drama know that the curmudgeonly Dr. Greg House is as likely to pick up an axe and strum a few desolate notes as he is to solve a perplexing medical mystery in under 45 minutes -- and sometimes, he does both simultaneously.

But House isn't alone in his love of Gibson Flying Vs and Les Pauls (both featured on the show). Laurie is a strummer off the set, too -- making him the perfect choice to grace the latest cover of Guitar Aficionado.

In addition to sharing his collection of Fenders, Paul Reed Smiths and Martins with Guitar Aficionado, Laurie opens up to the magazine about his lifelong love of all things musical. Besides the guitar, Laurie plays the piano, the sax, the harmonica and the drums. He talks to Guitar Aficionado about how his bluesy debut solo album, Let Them Talk, out this fall, differs from the musical comedy he once often performed on the BBC.

He also demonstrates just how different he is from the guarded Dr. House: "With the music I'm playing now, there's nowhere to hide," he says. "I'm standing there at the mic, playing music I adore, and I'm baring my heart and soul. It's scary."

Dr. Laurie?

Before Acting, Hugh Laurie Considered Making Real 'HOUSE' Calls

http://foxallaccess.blogs.fox.com/2011/03/28/before-acting-hugh-laurie-considered-making-real-house-calls/

For seven seasons, Hugh Laurie has played Dr. Gregory House on the FOX hit drama, House. At one time in his life before he made acting his profession, Laurie actually considered becoming a doctor. However, he told us that it’s much easier to research how to play a doctor, than to actually go to medical school to become one. (Click on the audio player to hear Hugh Laurie)

Kitty: Is it true this is Lisa Edelstein's last season on House?!

Don't panic! A source close to the situation confirms that no one in the cast is signed for next season yet, because the studio and the network still need to work out the deal for there to be a next season. Once that's all sorted out, then there will actually be money to pay actors, and then we'll know something for sure either way.

Olivia Wilde Teases on House/Thirteen Roadtrip (Spoliers)

‘HOUSE’: OLIVIA WILDE TEASES ON HOUSE/THIRTEEN ROAD TRIP
 http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/03/29/house-greys-anatomy-fringe-spoilers/

It’s been far too long since we’ve seen Olivia Wilde step into her scrubs and in the show’s landmark 150th episode, airing April 11, we learn why: Thirteen’s been in the slammer! And if you think you’re curious to find out why, just wait until you see how desperate House is to crack the case in this incredibly wrenching (and fantastic!) episode.

“I have to say, this episode is probably my favorite that I’ve ever done on the show. It explores her return, but it kind of takes the scenic route,” says Wilde, speaking exclusively with EW.
Desperate to find out more, House shows up at the prison gates to collect Thirteen when she is released and ends up taking her on road trip with the goal of getting the truth out of her — and he does. (This is House, after all.) But it comes at a price. “In order to sort of melt her steely resolve, he has to show a little bit of his own vulnerability, and I think that’s what makes their interaction ultimately really kind of unusual and really interesting,” Wilde says. “He’s reaching out to her and showing her his rawness. I think that’s what encourages her to open up. It also comes after several attempts to throw him off the course. She tries to throw him off the scent, but it doesn’t work because he’s too smart. She eventually has to give it up.”

As for what the secret is…oh, I can’t tell you that. But I can tell you that it’s sort of a secret wrapped in another secret, wrapped in another secret, all of which leads to an amazing moment. By the end of it, you’ll never want Thirteen to leave again. At least, that’s what Hugh Laurie thinks.

“I’d bet money no one will figure out why she’s in jail before we tell them because until I read it I had no idea,” he says. “I think our fans will be left salivating.”

Taking guesses (and bets) in comments.

How did Thirteen get into the Slammer?

HOUSE Mystery: What did Thirteen do?!

http://www.tvline.com/2011/03/house-mystery-what-did-thirteen-do/
By Michael Ausiello

Holy twist, Batman: Turns out when Olivia Wilde’s Huntington’s-afflicted Thirteen tendered her leave of absence last May on House, she wasn’t jetting off to some foreign land to undergo an experimental medical treatment — she was going straight to jail!
The bombshell was dropped into a Fox press release previewing the Fox hit’s April 11 episode:
“Thirteen has been in prison for the past year, but the real mystery for House is what she did to get there. When she exits the prison, she is taken aback to find him waiting for her, and unaware he’s got plans for the two of them for the next few days. As House probes Thirteen for more information about her crime, intent on solving the puzzle of her mysterious incarceration, they travel to an annual spud-gun competition and join forces to compete against House’s much younger, overconfident rival, and along the journey uncover secrets and truths about each other.”
Earlier this year, House creator David Shore hinted to TVLine that Wilde’s comeback would confound expectations. “We have something very cool in mind,” he said. “We’re writing an episode built largely around her return. I know [fans] are speculating about what happened to her during her absence, and I don’t want to rule anything out.”
Getting back to the question posed in the headline, why did Thirteen get tossed in the clink? Sounds like the perfect topic for a poll question!

Season Finale Guest and Title Revealed!

http://www.tvline.com/2011/03/house-season-finale-spoiler-shohreh-aghdashloo/

by Michael Ausiello

If my hunch is right, House fans are gonna love this news, and Huddy fans are gonna hate it: Shohreh Aghdashloo has just signed on to appear in the Fox hit’s season finale.
Why will fans of the show love it? Uh, because the 24 alum kicks ass — she’s not only an Oscar nominee, she’s an Emmy winner. Hello?!
But, like I said, Huddy fans might not be so excited if I’m correct in guessing that she’ll be playing Doc Crankypants’ new mother-in-law, which would translate to his recent green-card marriage having legs.
Mind you, I don’t know for sure that the new missus’ mom is who Aghdashloo will be playing — details about her role are being kept under wraps for now. It’s entirely possible Aghdashloo is just the patient of the week. But you have admit, Aghdashloo bears a strong resemblance to the new Mrs. House, actress Karolina Wydra.
One thing I know for sure about the finale: The title is, “Moving On.” A reference to Huddy perhaps? Hit the comments with your theories. And toss in some speculation about Aghdashloo’s character while you’re at it.
