Cristina Talks: What Can I Say? I'm Addicted!

by Cristina Hady

As usual, I was watching the Italian version of House with my family. The epi. airing was "The Itch" 5x7 (directed by the very talented Greg Yaitanes and written by Peter Blake). As you can remember or have seen in the video, House was discussing his case then Cuddy arrives and they started to talk. My attention was captured by Cuddy's words when she said "That's why we kissed". With a big surprise I ask my fiance, "We kissed? When did they kiss!?" We saw the previous epi. -I added.- Well, maybe they were telling us but they didn't show that they did. - My mother in law joined our discussion saying: "Yes, they kissed in the previous epi. I've seen".

Guys, you can't understand what I felt in that moment. I awaited that kiss for FIVE SEASONS! And when they kissed, I missed it. UNBELIEVABLE.

When the epi. ended I started to search for it. I wasn't aware which epi. it was so I opened the Fox page, I read a lot of recaps to find "Joy" 5x6 (Directed by Deran Sarafian, Written by David Hoselton). I started searching and downloading every possible version! I jumped at the end and started watching that scene and the amazing, unforgettable KISS!

As like all of you, I've lost count of how many time I've watched it! I can say: LIMITLESS!

If you want, we would like to know how you became addicted. We will be happy to post the scene and your text.

Do talk!

I've always been a fan of this amazing show. The first episode I saw was "Pilot" (of course, it's the first ep of the first season LOL) which was aired in Italy in 2005 and I was only twelve.

When I was a kid I used to watch E.R. so I wasn't scared with all the blood and so on. My mum was always against my "addiction" because she thought House was a idiot and his philosophy was a bunch of cr*p (That's exactly was she said).

But she changed her mind when he saw the Season 4 Finale, when Cuddy's pole dance was the only reason why my dad was watching House with me LOL. My mum walked in and saw the Amber/Wilson and the House/Cuddy last scenes. She was mesmerized by the great job the writers and actors had done. So she turned into a fan too, and my dad keeps watching House just to see Cuddy and Thirteen:)

At the beginning of season 6 she was a Luddy, yes people, she kept saying House was a m*ron and Cuddy deserved better. You don't know how many times we were mad at each other for this stupid thing.

Next week the finale will be aired in Italy and I really wanna see my mom's reaction:)

I first became addicted to House when they did the recaps of previous seasons while season 4 was still in progress. I was a Hameron fan back then but now since Cameron is barely on the show I became a Huddy which I then asked myself what the hell was I thinking? Huddy is so meant to be! <3

Can't really remember at what point I got addicted to the show. I watch quite a few TV series almost religiously, but House has always been one of my definite favorites :)

Anyway, so far, House's Head and Wilson's Heart are my favorite episodes. They were perfectly executed, in my opinion. I still watch them today, just to enjoy it. My favorite part is the one where Cuddy talks to Wilson about weaning Amber off her meds so that he can talk to her and say goodbye. That, in my honest and humble opinion, is good TV.

I fell in love with House in the Pilot episode in 2004,...the character was just so far removed from anything else Hugh had done before that I didnt recognised him as Hugh Laurie and I had watched Fry and Laurie , Blackadder and other stuff previously ,in the Pilot episode there was a scene where House and Cuddy went up to Rebecca,s (POTW) room , House stayed outside and leaned back on the wall , when Cuddy came out of Rebeccas room she said to House " you got lucky House " House gave her a wicked smile and just said "cool huh " , my heart stopped at that moment and Gregory House has been a part of my life ever since , ...... every single episode for me Hugh Laurie excells , there are always at least two or three scenes or even more , in EVERY episode Hugh will deliver a line of dialogue, or even no dialogue at all but an expression or movement of the head or eyes which leaves me wanting to , slap him , hug him , cry for him , cry with him , laugh at him , laugh with him , kiss him , fire him , open my arms to him , ‘read him the riot act’ banish him , move in with him , bed him!!!!! ( a lot of those ) etc etc etc , but never have I watched one episode from the ‘Pilot’ in season 1… to ‘Help Me ‘ the finale of season 6 where I have’nt experienced at least one of those emotions if not all of them in a single episode , THE MAN IS A GENIUS…the way he can take you from laughing to crying ( and every emotion in between ) in a split second is nothing short of phenominal , he leaves me breathless and in awe , I feel like I have been on a very fast and EXTREME funfair ride when each episiode is ended , I could literally sit here all day and find something from each and every episode to expatiate about,at the end of the Pilot episode when I found out that the character House was in fact our very own Hugh Laurie I was nothing short of speechless , I actually bought my computer especially so that I could keep up with all things House and Hugh, pics , articles , promos etc etc etc, he should have had 4/5 Emmys already , its a travesty that he keeps being nominated and never winning it ,heres hoping this year he gets what he so obviously is long overdue for xx. .....
and thats why I love House .xxx Marie .

Oh boy. Where do I start? I didn't like the show at first because I thought House was an ass. (which hasn't changed) Then, I decided to watch the episode "Kids" in which Cameron asks House on a date. The look that he gave her was priceless. That's the reason I started watching it. I got SO obsessed with House and Cameron that I watched fan videos online for hours. Then things started to change. Once the whole "Hameron" thing passed, I realized that Cuddy is the PERFECT match for him! So ever since then I've been a Huddy fan. That's why I'm so excited for season 7!!! :D

I finally remember how I got addicted! The popcorn that I bought came with a DVD that included 4 or 5 shows and House was one of them. The episode that they included was Season one, episode 16, 'Heavy,' the one with the obese girl. I've heard of it before because my friends were usually talking about it at school. Once I saw the episode, I then watched it on TV. I watched many reruns while waiting for Season 3. During season 3 I started to see the relationship of House and Cuddy grow and that's when I got addicted to Huddy.

The End :-)
